March Madness

Happy March! Spring is just around the corner. I don't know about you guys, but I'm ready for some nice weather. The snow was fun, but twice in one year is enough for this southern gal.

March is a busy month for me--I'm kicking it off with an early spring break trip to the beach with my oldest friend. We used to come to Kiawah Island every summer, but we haven't been back here together in almost 15 years (and...now I feel old). We're spending the week here with Little Man, and it's so much fun to see him falling in love with a place I loved so much as a child.

I have three races lined up this month--the The Shamrock n' Roll 5k on March 9th, the Atlanta Women's 5k on March 29th and the Publix Georgia Half Marathon on March 23rd. This is my second half and my first one in over a year, so I'm excited and a little nervous. I'm also thinking of trying to squeeze in another half marathon in early April to so I can join the Half Fanatics.

My goals for the month:
I'm going to make good memories by...Trying to live in the moment this week here at the beach. It was a last minute trip and it all just fell together, and I'm thankful that it did.
I'm going to focus on...Stepping away from my electronics during family time. We are a plugged-in family and I'm okay with that most of the time, but now that the weather is getting better I'd like to spend some time doing things with my husband and baby that do not require button pushing.
I'm going to do good by...Spring cleaning and donating. Not only is a big clean out well overdue, but we'll be moving in July and I know there are lots of things that don't need to move with us.

A penny for your thoughts: what does your March look like? Is there a spring break in your future?

  2. It's nice and Sunny here in FL :) I'm technically on Spring Break, but I haven't taken a break from anything...so it's just like a regular week. It kinda stinks :( Enjoy your vacation!
